<h1 align=left>Cripe Eagle

Cripe Eagle

Dmac gives an enthusiastic thumb up to this one-off guitar hand built by Stephen Cripe.

Cripe is best known for building two guitars for Jerry Garcia:  "Lightning Bolt" and "Top Hat".

Cripe's notes state that the Eagle:

"Was most likely to be to be Jerry's next guitar.

This guitar was built at the same time as Jerry's Top Hat".

Very resonant sounding guitar made of East Indian rosewood (recycled from a 19th century Asian opium bed), maple and purpleheart neck, laminated headstock, 24 fret Brazilian rosewood neck, marthog tusk ivory eagle's head inlay, semi-hollowbody.  An effects loop was professionally installed by Gary Brawer in San Francisco.  The original Dimarzio Super 2's are in the case.

<h1 align=left>Trussart Steel Les Paul

Trussart Steel Les Paul

Another classic design, favored by many, is the Steel Les Paul. Reconceived with a two

octave 24 fret neck and a steel body, this guitar rocks… Like the Steel Telecaster, the

neck, made of koa (an exotic type of mahogany), has a unique recessed peg-head plate

that creates incredible sustain and its hollow body has that special bite for pushing the

sound to limits.
