12-01-07    Charity Auction for Two Jerry Garcia Guitars Leon Day, former chauffeur to Mr. G will be auctioned off on December 9, 2007, in Los Angeles. The charity will benefit an autism center in Hawaii. The first guitar is a headless Steinberger electric guitar and the second is a Casio PG-380 electric guitar. Both are from built in the '80s. Vintage Guitar Winning Bid at Christie's

After Leo Fender, Bill Carson’s name is right up there when you think of whose name at Fender is 

synonymous with the vintage Stratocaster guitar. The California country-western guitarist played a

1959 Fiesta Red Stratocaster with matching headstock. His guitar recently was auctioned at Christie’s

and brought a winning bid of $66,000.  Seems like a bargains to us!

Unique Vintage Guitar Auction

Anyone finding themselves in the northeast part of the USA for Thanksgiving holiday

this year might do well to attend Cyr Auction Company's event on November 24,2007.

For auction will be both a mid 60's celebrity owned Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster.

Which 24 Are We Talking About

Kiefer Sutherland is synonymous with "24".  That also is the number of guitars

which were stolen and recently repossesed by police in Illinois.  One of them

was a signature model bearing Sutherlands' name.  Most of us have

seen the flashy Gibson Traveling Guitar Museum at guitar shows.  Someone

decided to steal 24 guitars from it but got caught.
