Ooh, ooh that smell.

Can't you smell that smell?

This guitar smells like it has been in the case under the bed for fifty some years.  It looks like it too.  That’s because it has been.

Here is a premium collectable 1952 Gibson Les Paul Standard.  It is one of the earliest first generation Gold Tops with the following correct features:

·              An un-faded brilliant gold colored maple top which has not seen much of the light of day.  It is an experience to see the bronze powder in the lacquer.

·              The un-bound fretboard also has a slightly tapered headstock.  The base of the headstock is 1/16th of an inch slimmer than the top of the headstock.

·              No pickup selector switch plate.

·              No serial number.

·              The bridge pick-up P-90 has diagonal mounting screws and measures 8.01 ohms.

·              The neck pick-up emanates a rich warm fat tone measuring 8.43 ohms.

·              It is a very light balanced instrument weighing 8.8 pounds.

·              The brown case with the pink lining is well preserved with leather handle and the four latches intact.

At a glance the case and the guitar look new.  Everything is well maintained.  This is a museum quality piece which we are confident will find a good home.

We recently acquired this guitar from the gentleman who purchased it from the original owner in 1956.  He essentially put it under his bed until he decided to sell it to us.
